We are looking for a Game Lead to head one of Rovio’s most successful games, Angry Birds Friends, the last true slingshot game from the iconic IP with strong growth potential. As a Game Lead you will be leading the vision and strategy of the game while ensuring the team of 40 stays healthy and performs to the highest standard . You are a business savvy leader obsessed with building products that scale and last for decades with a track record of growing and maintaining successful mobile live titles for years.

  • Develop and steer the game vision and strategic plans across long, mid, and short-term horizons, ensuring alignment with long-term business growth, product goals, and player experience.
  • Drive product vision and maximize business potential by adapting to market trends and understanding the evolving needs of the game’s audience.
  • Own and execute the strategy by guiding the team in designing an optimal feature and live operations roadmap.
  • Collaborate closely with craft leads, game leads, and central services to ensure cohesion and alignment across teams.
  • Provide clear updates on objectives and share key learnings with studio and company leadership, contributing to Rovio’s overall success.
  • Aim to achieve state-of-the-art live operations, setting a benchmark for quality and innovation.

Experience and skills we are looking for:

  • Demonstrates strong, inspiring leadership and team-building skills while maintaining humility.
  • Extensive experience managing a large-scale live game (30M+ players, 40+ team members).
  • Comprehensive understanding of the current mobile games business, including production, design, Live Ops, UA, and related areas.
  • Deep insight into player behavior, spender dynamics, and the competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional communication skills, fostering clear and effective collaboration.
  • A genuine passion for games as both a business and an entertainment medium.
